Clutch on Ace of Cakes

The first show I ever worked as security / bouncer was a clutch show in beavercreek ohio, circa 1994 or 95. I had been to many shows, but now I was working them. This show was in a small bar in a suburb of Dayton. I had also been drinking alcohol for only a short time.
So I get to the show early, not only because I was nervous about working as a bouncer, but because clutch just happened to be one of my favorite bands at the time.
The jagermeister starts flowing and by sound check I am drunk, not wasted, but drunk.
As we, the tour manager, the promoter and I, cross the stage talking about the show, my drunk ass trips over a guitar pedal and totally breaks it.
The tour manager was pissed! I saw the roadie get the signal and quickly change it out.
I don’t remember much from the rest of the night, I am pretty sure I did an at least ok job of security, although I think that was my last bouncer / security job in Dayton…
